Vestas is handling EPC at the project in the state’s Southern Tablelands, as well as equipping it with 51 wind turbines.
Taralga is being developed by a consortium including CBD Energy and Banco Santander.
Downer will carry out civil and electrical infrastructure work at the project site, which is due to be commissioned progressively from the third quarter of 2014.
The engineer in June announced that it would work on Australia’s 113MW Boco Rock wind farm as part of a consortium that also includes GE.
