The company also revealed it is now constructing wind farm projects, with about 300MW of orders in the pipeline for that area of its business.
Sinovel said it plans to set up a special investment company this year to handle the construction of wind farms, as well as managing investments in other industries.
The full-year loss compares to a 598.8m yuan profit for 2011 – now restated following the discovery of accounting errors – and is worse than the 490m yuan figure it warned about in January.
