The law, to be implementedby 2015, will require grid operators and provincial governments to obtain up to15% of their energy from renewable sources.
The third – and final – draft of the law is currently open for comment, an industry source tells financialdaily the China Securities Journal. Itis expected to be approved “in the near future”, says the report.
The new rules – similar toa renewable portfolio standard (RPS) in other countries – will put pressure on China’stwo grid operators, State Grid and China Southern Grid, to absorb morerenewable energy, and particularly wind power.
In
