South Australia was the star performer, with wind supplying the equivalent of 38% of the state’s power in August, according to figures released by the CEC.
The wind-rich state’s previous monthly best was 31%. South Australia has 1.2GW of installed wind capacity in place and is set for a further boost from the 270MW Snowtown 2 project, which will begin construction soon.
