JGC willstart building the ¥10bn ($102m) plant next March and has set up a special-purpose company to runit.
It didnot say which company will supply the PV panels for the project, which isscheduled for completion in January 2015.
JGC hassigned a project financing agreement with Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp andother lenders. It will provide engineering, procurement and constructionservices for the plant in the city of Kamogawa, across Tokyo Bay from itsYokohama headquarters in Chiba prefecture.
