It has signed a five-year memorandum of understanding with the municipal bureau of commerce in Yantai, a port city in Shandong province, to develop, own and operate projects.
Hanwha SolarOne chief financial officer Jay Seo says the partnership has identified rooftops that will accommodate 8MW of projects. His company will use our own modules and perform all EPC work.
The bureau of commerce will help secure rooftop space and facilitate project approval and grid connection, as well as aid with obtaining tax preferences and project financing.
