The Tokyo-based company’s partner, developer Community WindPower, will start building the plant in October.

A Watami spokesperson declinedto reveal the module supplier to the project.

The plant will be situated on a25-hectareplot of land in Atsuma, a townnear the port of Tomakomai. It will start  feeding electricity into the regional gridunder Japan’s feed-in tariff system (FIT) in November 2014.
