At the same time, the Obama administration on Tuesday created an interagency group to further help the nation’s stumbling biofuels industry, which has been hard hit by sluggish demand, tight credit markets, overexpansion and poor investment decisions.
The Biofuels Interagency Working Group will be led by energy secretary Steven Chu, agriculture secretary Tom Vilsack and Environmental Protection Agency administrator Lisa Jackson.
