The $138m plant will be operated by Dynamic Fuels, a joint venture between Tyson and Syntroleum of Tulsa, Oklahoma. It is scheduled to reach full operation in mid-2010.

Officials at Tyson, the world’s largest processor of chicken, beef and pork, told Recharge the plant is a major step forward in the company’s strategy to convert raw materials into higher-margin biofuels.
