Nevada utility unveils incentives scheme for wind, hydro power

The utility, which provides electricity for most of northern Nevada, will administer the new WindGenerations and HydroGenerations programs.

For wind power, the programs offer agricultural customers rebates up to 60% of the cost of the installed system. The incentives for hydro generation are paid by NV Energy according to the size of the system installed.

NV Energy provides assistance to customers and contractors through workshops, education, outreach events and individual consultation.
