Looking ahead, Minnesota needs to further cooperation between government and industry based on sound science and good business practices, according to the report’s author, Salman Mitha , of Minnesota 2020, a nonpartisan think tank.
He cites the state’s green accomplishments including creation of the nation’s largest network of E85 ethanol-blend fuel pumps, a 25% renewable portfolio standard by 2025 and 1,796 megawatts of installed wind power at the end of 2009.
