GAEC President John Shearer says feedstock options include agricultural waste products, corn cobs, corn stalks and switchgrass.

The plant, located in Blairstown, west of Cedar Rapids, is designed to produce six million gallons of ethanol a year. GAEC expects to complete the acquisition this fall.
