Edison Mission Group owns 67% of the wind farm and Omaha-based energy company Tenaska owns about one-third.
Elkhorn Ridge will sell electricity to the Nebraska Public Power District under a 20-year agreement.
Edison officials said one turbine must be replaced because of a December fire that caused damage and injured three workers. Vestas believes the fire was caused by a foreign object that touched high-voltage parts inside the turbine, but the investigation is not yet complete.
