The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) president urged utilities in the state to participate in the BP-Rio Tinto Hydrogen Energy International project after the regulatory body released its decision on Southern California Edison Company’s petition to pass on costs to consumers if it participates in the study.
“I encourage the other investor-owned utilities, as well as the publicly-owned utilities, to become partners in the (Hydrogen Energy International) study project," said CPUC President Michael Peevey.
