Greenbriar, an energy development and real estate company based in Vancouver, British Columbia, did not name the seller, or disclose financial or other details of the transaction.
"We are pleased to be involved with helping Utah achieve energy independence and providing the Utah rate-payers with clean, reliable, and affordable 100% carbon free electricity," says Greenbriar chief executive Jeff Ciachurski.
According to a statement, Greenbriar says the former owner had “nearly completed” a power purchase agreement for the project’s full output.
