The group is seeking a buyer for its interests in 16 operating wind farms in nine states with a combined generating capacity of about 2.6GW, as well as a portfolio of projects at various stages of development – including 2GW described as "nearly shovel ready".
BP says any divestment is “subject to attractive offers being received” as it seeks to be “fully remunerated for the investment it has made in the wind energy business”.
