The product launch follows an expansion into those regions earlier this year.
The US company uses meteorological data and computer modelling to create its FirstLook Assessment Reports, which provide renewable energy prospectors with a wide range of hourly, monthly and annual average wind speed estimates for specific sites. The reports are available online at http://firstlook.3tier.com .
“By expanding coverage of this scientifically rigorous, but cost-effective product, we can help shorten the development cycle in these regions of the world that have good wind resources, but currently lack reliable wind resource information,” 3TIER chief executive Kenneth Westrick says in a statement.
