The US giant – which is slugging it out with Vestas for the title of number-one supplier of wind turbines – saw strong wind sales in the buoyant US market last year, but had previously warned that performance would come under pressure in 2013 as development slowed.
Today it told investors that revenue from wind fell 53% in the first quarter of 2013.
