Andreas Nauen, chief executive of the German turbine manufacturer, would not give a specific estimate for each year, but said there will clearly be more installations next year than this.
To add 5GW in the US this year, about 2,500 turbines would need to be installed, he told Recharge on the sidelines of the Hannover Messe industrial fair.
“I can’t see that happening,” he added.
