IN DEPTH: Talk of new Brazil tender

During the country's biggest energy conference, Enase, in Rio de Janeiro, the head of the Energy Research Centre, EPE, Maurício Tolmasquim, disclosed that a second A-5 tender is likely to be held at the end of the year.

The first A-5 tender is scheduled to take place on 29 August and wind won't be allowed to take part of it, with the government citing a need to contract baseload thermal generation.
