Terms of the deal were not announced.
Clean Line and co-developer New Mexico Renewable Energy Transmission Authority (RETA) have renamed the Power Network New Mexico project Western Spirit Clean Line.
It will collect 1.5GW of renewable power – mainly wind – from east-central New Mexico and deliver it to markets in the western US, complementing Clean Line’s development of the 900-mile-long high-voltage direct current Centennial West Clean Line project.
