WEICan's R&D centre in Prince Edward Island has placed an order with S&C Electric for a system to be installed at its facilities in the province.
The Battery Energy Storage System, which will be wired into the 10MW North Cape wind farm next to WEICan, will marry power-conversion kit from S&C with sodium-nickel-chloride Durathon modules from GE. The project is slated to be on line by the autumn.
