The 45MW Punta Palmeras wind farm, located in the municipality of Canela, in the province of Choapa, will be built, owned and operated by Acciona.
Construction work on the wind farm is expected to start in the last quarter of 2013, with the facility due to come into service at the end of 2014.
Punta Palmeras is expected to generate 124GWh of electricity per year.
