The project will utilise 440,000 solar modules supplied by Canadian Solar, which is also providing engineering, procurement and construction services.
Samsung Renewable Energy is developing the project as part of a 2010 framework agreement with the Ontario government that has since been revised downward to now include 300MW of solar capacity.
Canadian Solar expects to bring a new PV module assembly plant online this quarter in London, Ontario, to supply the Samsung agreement’s project pipeline.
