The Minnesota Senate is currently advancing its own bill with a 1% solar target which, if passed, would require the two houses to meet in conference committees to hammer out a compromise.
Passing either bill would make Minnesota the 17th US state to mandate that utilities source a certain percentage of their power from solar energy. If adopted, the House version would represent one of the most aggressive in the country.
