The order is from Cobra Energia, which last year took 32MW from the German manufacturer – at that stage its first deal in Peru.
The latest order will see Siemens deliver 25 direct drive SWT-3.0-108 machines and eight SWT-2.3-108 turbines to the Tres Hermanas project near the city of San Juan de Marcona.
The project was awarded to Cobra under the Peruvian government’s second renewable energy tender.
