Siemens makes Peru wind debut

Siemens has received its first wind power order in Peru, for 11 turbines with a total capacity of 32MW.

The order comes from Spanish wind developer Cobra Energia for the supply, delivery and commissioning of eight Siemens 3MW SWT-3.0-108 turbines and three of its 2.3MW SWT-2.3-108 machines.

All have a rotor diameter of 108 metres and will be installed at a hub height of 80 metres.

Siemens will provide service and maintenance for seven years.
