The developer says the identical 20-year PPAs were recently executed between Xcel, an investor-owned utility, and limited liability companies comprised of residents Meeker County, Minnesota, and a tax-equity partner, which Juhl says is ‘to-be-determined’.
The companies, each in a separate PPA, are Danielson Wind Farms and Adams Wind Generations.
The projects, says Dan Juhl, the developer’s chief executive, indicate strong demand for community wind.
