“We will have a hearing and take testimony on the settlement. The commission at some point down the road will issue its decision,” Terry Bote, spokesman for the Colorado Public Service Commission, told Recharge, referring to its three commissioners.
He says that Xcel Energy, the state’s largest electric utility, asked for that decision to be made by early November. That would allow construction to begin this year, enabling the wind project to qualify for $443m in federal production tax credits.
