German developer Wpd plans to go through with its 18.5MW White Pines onshore wind project near Lake Ontario despite statements by the new regional government of Ontario, Canada, that it intends to scrap the project.
“Like other investors in Canada, we assume that legally granted and valid permits in Ontario will continue to be valid also in the case of a change in government,” a Wpd press official in Bremen, Germany, told Recharge.
