The world’s largest and most powerful wind turbine so far will produce its first power by the end of next year, Vestas said as it named the location for the prototype of the 15MW giant.

The first V236-15MW offshore machine will be installed onshore at Denmark’s Østerild national test centre in the second half of 2022, with first output planned in the fourth quarter from the 280-metre-tall turbine, the manufacturer said.
