GE Renewable Energy-owned LM Wind Power has unveiled its first LM 107.0 P, the gargantuan blade to be flown by the 12MW Haliade-X offshore wind turbine – and the world’s first 100-metre-plus model.

Fabricated at the GE Renewable Energy plant in Cherbourg, France, 107-metre unit will now go through a post-molding finishing process, before entering a rigorous testing and validation process before installation on the rotor of the Haliade-X prototype being erected in the Port of Rotterdam.
