WindEurope has postponed its annual conference, as well as the ‘Electric City’ exhibition, to November 23-25, 2021, in Copenhagen as coronavirus infection figures in Denmark and Europe remain high while vaccination campaigns are slow to take off.
The pan-European wind group originally had planned to hold the event from 27 to 29 April, 2021.
But while lower than in many other countries in Europe, there still have been several hundred new Covid-19 infections per day in Denmark in recent weeks, while an increasing number of countries also are imposing strict travel restrictions to block the more infectious UK mutant virus variety.
