French lawmakers should abstain from harmful last-minute amendments and partisan bickering ahead of a final vote tomorrow on the ‘Renewable Energy Acceleration Act’ in the country’s National Assembly, the decisive lower house of parliament, industry lobby WindEurope warned.

The legislation to speed up the deployment of renewables could actually slow it down if certain anti-wind changes to the law were to be re-introduced, mostly from the far right and opposition National Rally – formerly National Front – of Marine Le Pen, as well as conservative Republicans.
