British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has visited the UK’s Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult R&D centre in Blyth, northeast England, where he toured, along with senior figures from SSE Renewables, Equinor, GE and LM Wind Power, through the 15MW drive-train testing facilities currently housing GE’s Haliade-X proto-nacelle and the blade test-bench, where LM’s 107-metre-long unit is rigged up.
