Wind OEM giant Vestas is planning to pull out of Russia entirely as it hardens an earlier stance that saw it halt all new commercial activity there in response to the nation’s invasion of Ukraine.

Vestas, which has blade and nacelle facilities in Russia, said on Tuesday that after its initial decision in March not to seek new business it “began reviewing different scenarios, including if we could fulfill our existing obligations, and how we could ensure an orderly withdrawal from Russia, if the war continued.
