Vestas has booked an order from an unnamed developer for 131MW of turbine components qualifying for safe-harbour status under the US production tax credit (PTC) incentive. Ranging across its 2MW and 3MW platforms, the Danish OEM said the contract "will enable our customer to qualify a substantial portfolio of projects for 100% of the PTC value".
Ambitious Canadian offshore wind developer Beothuk Energy has signed a memorandum of understanding with Iron and Earth, a group that is training former oil and gas industry workers concerned over climate change to enable them to transition into skilled positions in renewables.
