The Fukushima Forward floating wind consortium has anchored a Hitachi 5MW turbine at its demonstration site off the coast of eastern Japan. Following a brief delay, the state-backed group is now on track to start operating the machine, which is mounted on an advanced spar floater designed by Japan Marine United, by the autumn.
