Wind giant Vestas says cyberattack was ransomware bid as systems normalise after 'tough days'

Vestas said almost all of its IT systems and infrastructure are up and running again after a cyberattack earlier this month – now believed to be a ransomware incident – compromised some of its data.

The Danish wind turbine giant said it and external partners have worked around the clock to re-establish normal operations, conducting extensive investigations, forensics, restoration activities and reinforcing its systems.
