Vestas unveiled two changes to its top management team, including a step up to interim executive vice-president of manufacturing and global procurement for Tommy Rahbek Nielsen as present incumbent Jean-Marc Lechêne retires.

Nielsen, a Vestas veteran and currently senior vice president of Assembly, Generators & Towers, will join the Vestas executive management team while an internal and external hunt takes place for a permanent replacement for Lechêne, said a statement from the Danish wind giant.

Vestas has also hired a new EVP for people and culture, Kerstin Knapp, formerly of Puma Energy. Knapp replaces Helle Bay, currently head of people and culture, who will leave the company.

Both will start their new positions in January and report to CEO Henrik Andersen.
