Wind turbine manufacturer Siemens Gamesa has lowered its revenue and earnings guidance for 2022, amid supply chain disruptions, price pressures and ramp-up challenges at its 5MW platform that have led to a quarterly loss.

The mix of bad news prompted investors to dump the OEM's shares at the Madrid stock exchange, triggering a sharp decline of 14.91% to €16.13 per share in early morning trading.

Supply chain bottlenecks are now expected to last longer than previously anticipated and are exacerbated by the continued impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
