The wind industry’s biggest names joined forces to urge a massive ramp up in turbine deployment and put the sector centre-stage at the COP26 UN climate summit later this year.
The Global Wind Coalition for COP26, launched on Global Wind Day, rallied behind calls by the likes of the International Energy Agency for a three- or fourfold increase on the record 93GW of wind installed globally last year to meet net zero ambitions.
