Iberdrola expects no impact from the offshore wind cabling problem that could cost fellow developer Orsted almost $500m, said CEO Ignacio Galán as he told investors “we know a bit about networks and transmission”.

The Iberdrola boss was quizzed over potential risks to the Spanish group’s projects after Orsted in April said 10 of its already-operating wind farms face repair bills because of damage to “industry standard” cable protection systems caused by rock abrasion.
