New-model offshore wind developer Corio Generation has unveiled plans for a quintet of projects off Brazil totalling over 5GW, as the highly prospective South American nation’s sector pipeline continues to swell.

Corio, spun out of international investment house Macquarie’s Green Investment Group in March with a 15GW project pipeline, intends to build the projects – dubbed Costa Nordeste (1.2GW), Guarita (1.2GW), Cassino (1.2GW), Rio Grande (1.17GW) and Vitoria (495MW) – with local power company Servtec Energia, a veteran of Brazil’s onshore wind sector.
