Vestas was the top wind OEM for new installations last year despite intense competition from US and Chinese rivals, according to preliminary figures from the Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC).
The Danish group delivered and installed 16.2GW in 2020, topping the GWEC rakings for the fifth year running, edging out GE Renewable Energy with 14.1GW and China’s Goldwind with 13.6GW,
