Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has announced more than 1GW in orders in the two days before the end of the second quarter, with demand in the US, Canada and Australia accounting for great part of the order spree.
The largest order came from an undisclosed client in the US, who ordered 278MW of V150-4.2MW turbines. Including previously purchased 4MW machines, the unnamed project has a total nameplate capacity of 302MW.
