The Danish turbine manufacturer says the order marks its first sale in Idaho and the US debut of its V100-1.8MW machine, which sports a 100-metre rotor diameter to grab more power from low-wind sites.
In addition to the turbines, Vestas will provide maintenance and service for up to six years. Deliveries are to begin before the end of the year with the project set to come online in the second half of 2011.
