Danish wind turbine manufacturer Vestas has received an order for a total volume of 249MW of its V136-4.2MW turbines and V136-3.45MW turbines from an undisclosed customer in the US.
The machines will be delivered in a 3.6MW power optimised mode.
Including previously purchased 4MW components, the project has a total nameplate capacity of 300MW.
The order includes supply and commissioning of the turbines as well as a multi-year service agreement.
