Some 200-300 people will be brought on at Vestas’s blade factory in Windsor, and another 150 people at its blade and nacelle plant in Brighton, according to local press reports.
The hiring spurt is “part of the ongoing plan to scale up” in the US, a spokesman tells Recharge.
This spring Vestas hired 400 people in Colorado – three-quarters of them permanent jobs and the rest temporary – in addition to the 800 jobs it created in mid-2014.
