Vietnamese infrastructure group N&G announced a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with global onshore wind number-one Vestas over potential projects in the Southeast Asian nation.

The Vestas MoU with N&G marks another move by a major global OEM to position itself for growth in what is tipped to be a key emerging wind power market over the next decade.

N&G – a Hanoi-based business with interests spanning the buildings, logistics and energy sectors – said on its website it plans to invest $1bn in wind projects by 2025, naming the southern provinces of Dak Nong and Dak Lak for likely first development.
